What is Nippers?
Nippers is the junior branch of the Surf Lifesaving movement. It educates U6 to U14s about many aspects of surf lifesaving and prepares them for entry into the Senior Club. Children must be at least 5 years of age on or before midnight 30th September 2017 in order to be old enough to participate in the 2017/2018 Nipper season.
Junior Activities can be a very rewarding experience for the whole family. Not only do the children learn important beach and water skills and enjoy friendships that come with belonging to a club, their parents can also gain valuable knowledge and discover personal satisfaction in participating.
The aims of Currumbin Nipper activities are to:
Promote and teach safe participation and enjoyment of Australian waterways through education in all aspects of water safety, personal survival, aquatic competitions, lifesaving and resuscitation.
Promote fun and enjoyment in the water and beach activities.
Encourage children to develop finely tuned water skills through education classes, competitions and Surf Lifesaving activities.
Encourage long term involvement with the Surf Lifesaving movement
